Dr. Mathew specializes in physical medicine & rehabilitation. As a resident physician at Nassau University Medical Center, she is responsible for caring for patients who suffered acquired brain injuries, occupational & sports injuries, amputations, chronic pain and joint diseases, teaching medical students, and working with attending physicians. She became involved in her profession because of her fascination with medical science, and attributes her success to the support she receives from her friends and family.

Dr. Mathew received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, with a concentration in Osteopathic Manipulation, from New York Institute of Technology. Her professional affiliations include the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a supporter of Paralyzed Veterans of America, Easter Seals, the American Bible Society, Walk in the Word, Samaritan's Purse, Guideposts, and the Peale Center.
