Rey 'Stingrey' Ronquilio Receives Professional Networking Community's Highest Honor
Rey 'Stingrey' Ronquilio is the owner of Hawaii's annual Stingrey Classic Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championship

HONOLULU, HI, June 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rey 'Stingrey' Ronquilio, President of Vital Fitness, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Personal Training. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named professionals of the year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities.

With a National Bodybuilding Champion title, Rey 'Stingrey' Ronquilio lives by the philosophy that "You only have one body. You have a choice to 'live' or 'live better.' It's a great feeling when you can help someone to live better. As a professional, it doesn't get better than to improve someone's quality of life." Committed to helping others, he is an expert athletic trainer with special knowledge on body composition change, anti-aging, bodybuilding, flexibility, posture and corrective and performance training. He lends nearly two decades of experience to his position as a district fitness manager for several 24-hour fitness centers located throughout Hawaii and as the President of Vital Fitness. He is also the athletic director and general manager of the exclusive Honolulu Club.

Because Mr. Ronquilio believes that obesity, dependence on technology and stagnancy are major issues of today's society, he strives to encourage people of all ages to take control of their physiques. Possibly the most rewarding aspect of his career is holding the annual Stingrey Classic, a bodybuilding, fitness, figure and bikini contest. In this way, he encourages his regional community to become more involved in improving their health. Named Mr. USA Lightweight Champion in 2003, NPC Masters National Lightweight Champion in 2002, Mr. Big Island Overall Champion in 1996 and Hawaiian Classic Overall Champion in 1994, there are not many more equipped to operate such an event.

Mr. Ronquilio received his associate of science in liberal arts from Honolulu Community College in 1982. He is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and the International Fitness Professionals Association and Apex Fitness Inc. Mr. Ronquilio is a member and sits on the advisory board of the Exercise and Sports Science Program at Kapi'olani Community College. He also sits on the board of directors of the Hawaii Association of Fitness Professionals. Aside from his affiliation with Cambridge Who's Who, Mr. Ronquilio has been inducted into the following organizations: Presidential Who's Who, Stanford Who's Who, Continental Who's Who and Remington Registry.
