SLINGERLANDS, NY, September 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Cynthia C. Cahill, Optometrist for Empire Vision Centers, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in ocular therapeutics.

An optometrist for 20 years, Dr. Cahill developed her professional passion after completing sports vision training. She has spent 15 years at Empire Vision Centers, Inc., where she administers eye care to children and adults. Additionally, over the last 13 years, she has served as her company's benchmark doctor. In this capacity, she is required to train and educate those who are new to the field.

In 1991, Dr. Cahill received a Doctor of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry. Before this, she attended The State University of New York at Potsdam, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology. Licensed to practice in New York, she maintains affiliations with the American Optometric Association and the Shiley Eye Center at the University of California, San Diego. Her free time is volunteered to Huntington's Disease Society of America and The Regaining One's Self-Esteem Fund. Her goal is to establish her own practice.
